We stayed at Diamond Caverns RV Resort & Golf, a Thousand Trails park, so 14-day full hook-ups stay for free with the membership. This campground is just minutes to Mammoth Cave National Park and about 40 minutes to the Bowling Green Corvette Museum.
Mike and I went on the Mammoth Cave Extended Historic
self-guided Tour for $18 each. On the
tour we saw the Rotunda, the Water Clock, the Giants Coffin and TB Huts. Rangers were scattered about, so you could
ask questions or they would give you history about that area of the cave. The tour was about two hours. It was nice.
I think a little pricey.
We decided to take a ride to Bowling Green and tour the
Corvette Museum. It was $12 per person for
a self-guided tour. We witnessed a few
new owners take possession of their new corvette with fan fair, pretty exciting
for them. I can only dream that would be
us some day. If you recall, this is the
museum that a sink hole swallowed some cars a few years back. I like that they incorporated that into an
exhibit in the museum. I thought the
price was good and the exhibits where well done; worth it.
Thank you and God bless.
